Try turning your printer off and then back on again to see if it resolves your issue. Make sure your printer has power and is turned on. Make sure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your iOS device. Forcing control channel and such can have an adverse effect on your network - because some of that depends on how crowded your wifi space is. Make sure your printer has paper, and enough ink or toner installed. Although, I don't recommend ripping out all the advanced wireless features of AC88U as that website suggests.
I think if the issue is that connection is dropping while you are priting, I can see some of the suggestsions on that site helping. In such circumstances, you may need to disable this feature - and can be enabled or disabled for each individual network.Sure if this helps anyone but making these changes on my router fixed my Airprint issue immediately. The Private Address feature is largely unnecessary for your home WiFi network if enabled, Private Addressing can interfere with anticipated operation of other devices, such as AirPrint/Airplay. If you continue to have difficulties, check to see if your iPad is using the new WiFi Private Address feature. When the Apple logo appears, release the button.
